Errol Barron was born in Alexandria Louisiana and attended Tulane and Yale Universites. He currently lives in New Orleans where he is a partner in Errol Barron / Michael Toups Architects firm and teaches drawing at Tulane University School of Architecture. He and his partner have won over 35 design awards and his work has been published nationally and internationally. In 1994, he was made a felllow in the American Institute of Architects, and in 1995, he was the recipient of the Gabriel Prize. Since 1998, he has exhibited his paintings in group and solo shows. Barron was made the Donna Perret Rosen artist in residence at the Isidore Newman School and was awarded The Metal of Honor by the Louisiana Architects Association in recognition of his significant and enduring contrubution to the advancement of architecture.
